An
invitation is extended to all who wish to join us in the venture to
learn
German.
Our
language classes are designed to:
--Provide an introduction
for new students interested in learning German at any level
--Refresh those with a past knowledge
of German who
may be traveling abroad or wish to brush up on their skills
--Allow those who have taken classes
previously to continue their studies
General Information and Policies
of the German Society's Language Classes
Class materials:
Textbooks,
audio
tapes and CDs are available for purchase from the German
Society at reasonable prices.

Additional Information:
Our teachers
have a diverse array
of backgrounds. They are native German-speakers, translators
and
professors of the German language who have an admiration and respect
for the Germanic culture. They instruct not just in the
language,
but also in the literature, culture, business, customs and everyday
life of German-speaking countries. In that way, we make every
effort to create a "total immersion" atmosphere in the teaching of
the language.
Additional Information:
Upon joining a class, if
you discover
it is too basic or too advanced, you may move up or down a level within
the same semester at no additional charge.
Also, if there are class dates within the semester that you know you will not be able to attend before paying your tuition, we can pro-rate the amount. The Society does not give refunds for unattended classes once tuition has already been paid.
Class Cancellations: If classes are cancelled due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances, each student will be notified via phone and email as early as possible. At the next meeting, the teacher and students will then decide when to reschedule the missed class.
